In a strategic move to bolster its operations, Canadian bulk hauler Trimac announced the acquisition of flatbed carrier Watt & Stewart.
Founded 38 years ago, Watt & Stewart operates a fleet of 124 tractors and 205 trailers, with facilities in Claresholm, Alberta; Lexington, South Carolina; and San Angelo, Texas. The company serves key sectors such as mining, forestry, and manufacturing.
Under Trimac’s ownership, Watt & Stewart will maintain its name and current management team, becoming part of the Trimac family of brands.
“Watt & Stewart is a remarkable company with a proud history, and we are honored to carry forward their legacy while working together to achieve new heights,” said Matt Faure, Trimac’s president and CEO, in a press release. “Together, we’re better positioned to serve our customers and drive growth across North America.”
With over 140 locations across the U.S. and Canada, Trimac continues to expand its footprint in the transportation industry.
