The Nifty December 2024 futures closed at 24,775.35, marking a premium of 66.95 points over the Nifty’s cash market closing of 24,708.40. In the cash market, the Nifty 50 gained 240.95 points, or 0.98%, finishing at 24,708.40.
The NSE’s India VIX, which measures market expectations of short-term volatility, saw a slight uptick, rising 0.53% to 14.53.
Among individual stock futures, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, and ICICI Bank were the most actively traded contracts in the Futures & Options (F&O) segment of the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The December 2024 F&O contracts are set to expire on December 26, 2024.
