Hyundai Motor’s U.S. division, Stellantis (the parent company of Chrysler), and Delta Air Lines are among several corporations that announced on Monday they would each contribute $1 million to President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural fund.
In addition to these contributions, other major corporations, including Boeing, General Motors, Ford Motor, Microsoft, Amazon.com, Alphabet, and Facebook’s parent company, Meta, have also committed financial support for the Jan. 20 inauguration.
Hyundai expressed its optimism about collaborating with the incoming administration, stating that it “welcomes the opportunity to work with the new administration on policies that support American manufacturing, protect supply chains, and spur innovation.”
The Trump administration’s potential policies, including tariffs and revisions to electric vehicle and emissions regulations, could significantly affect the automotive industry. Automakers are closely monitoring the incoming government’s stance, as such changes could have far-reaching implications for production, innovation, and the future of electric vehicles in the U.S.
